On Monday 9th July the Transport Select Committee launched a call for written evidence from rail users about the scale and impact of the May 2018 timetabling changes.
The Transport Committee inquiry aims to unpick what went wrong, where responsibility falls and consider how the industry can put things right. The Committee has already taken evidence from Northern, GTR, Network Rail and the Thameslink 2018 Industry Readiness Board.
Before looking at steps taken to improve the situation and passenger compensation, the Committee wants to hear the experiences of rail users themselves. Commenting Heidi said “I urge passengers affected by the timetable change to submit to the Transport Committee’s inquiry via the Committee’s Twitter account or submit written evidence via the online form." The deadline for written submissions is Wednesday 5 September 2018.
