During Prime Minister's Questions today, Heidi Allen MP called on the Prime Minister to cancel the five week wait for Universal Credit and scrap the benefit freeze.
Heidi outlined her concerns that the five week wait for Universal Credit and the continuation of the benefit freeze had meant that instead of people being caught by the welfare safety net, they had found themselves tangled in the safety net and this had resulted in increased food bank use.
