On the 24th January 2019, Heidi Allen MP will join the Police and Crime Commissioner Jason Ablewhite and the Chief Constable of Cambridgeshire Police, Nick Dean, at a public meeting at Swavesey Village College, Gibraltar Lane, Swavesey CB24 4RS between 7 and 9pm to discuss policing issues in South Cambridgeshire.
The meeting has been arranged by the Police and Crime Commissioner and Cambridgeshire Police to listen to residents views about local policing. Cambridgeshire Police’s focus is on making the most effective use of the resources they have and working closely with their partners. This enables them to protect people, attack criminality and take every chance to prevent crime in the first place. Engagement with the public is vital in the fight against crime and this meeting will give residents an opportunity to hear more about Cambridgeshire Police’s policing priorities.
Heidi will be joining the meeting to listen to residents’ concerns and suggestions about local policing.
Registration for the meeting is required - please click here to register.
Commenting on the meeting, Heidi said: “I am regularly contacted by constituents who have concerns about local policing issues. Modern policing is changing and the complexities of the issues that the police are confronting are changing too. In addition to the Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable outlining their priorities at the meeting, it’s really important to me that residents are able to outline their concerns and ask their questions about local policing too - this meeting is an ideal way to do that.”
